It all depends on the business, and the people with whom you involve yourself. If it’s a good business then there is about a 99% chance it will get copied.

Android phones copied Apple, most airlines tried to copy Southwests low fares, and Starbucks has copycats on every corner.

If you start a business that doesnt get copied you have a big problem.

Your job, as the entrepreneur is to create the BEST version of the business, from the perspective of the customer and the employee, to create loyalty from both.

Do that well, and you’ll never be threatened by the competition.

Also, when hiring, have your potential employees take the DiSC profile and, in the beginning, only hire Cs and Ss. They rarely start their own things. They are people who are extremely Steady and Conciencios. They typically don’t start new, untested ventures, especially if there’s a chance it can be viewed as lacking integrity by anyone.
